To make the shape and design look beautiful and harmonious, you need to know what tools and materials to use for each type of manicure, as well as how to create the right composition step by step.

Lunar manicure

Moon manicure is also called reverse French manicure. This is all due to the fact that in French they paint the tip of the nail, and in the reverse - the hole.

To design your nails in this style, you will need:

• base and top;
• UV lamp for drying varnish;
• gel polishes in the required colors, two or three pieces;
• orange sticks;
• nail file for modeling the shape;
• beveled brush for gel polish;
• remover for removing the sticky layer;
• round or semicircular stencils.

When doing a Gothic manicure of this type, try to adhere to a certain sequence:

• First, the nails must be given the desired shape, be it stilettos, almond-shaped or oval. Also at this stage, the cuticle is removed using gel and professional scissors. Using a remover, remove the oily layer from the nail plate and treat it with a buff so that the surface is smooth;
• First the base coat is applied. It looks like a thick transparent varnish. Usually dries within 30 seconds;
• Now the first thin layer of gel polish is painted on the nail. This color will highlight the hole, but first it is applied to the entire nail plate. If you want to get a more saturated shade, apply the varnish again;
• when the gel polish is completely dry, a round or semicircular stencil is glued to the upper part of the cuticle;
• Now the part of the nail plate free from the stencil is painted a different color. If the hole turns out darker, then subsequent application is done using an angled brush. If the master has enough experience, he can easily draw a hole by hand;
• The varnish needs to be allowed to dry, this takes a minute or a minute and a half. Afterwards, the stencil is carefully removed, and the design is secured with a top coat, which will give it shine.

To enhance the design, you can use designs, stickers and stones before the topcoat.

Gothic French

This jacket differs from the classic one in that it uses dark shades. Usually it is black and red. To create a Gothic jacket you will need:

• gel polishes or gel paints in black or red colors;
• top and base coats;
• remover;
• thin brush;
• transparent gel.

Step-by-step instructions will help you do everything correctly:

• as in the previous design, first the nails are filed, giving them the correct shape, degreased, and the cuticle is removed;
• when the shape and surface of the nail plate are ready, it is covered with a base, which is dried in a lamp for 30 seconds;
• Now comes the stage of creating the jacket itself. To make it perfectly even, you can use stencils, but a good master can easily draw a French jacket by hand;
• The stencil is glued in the center of the nail so that a beautiful and even smile line remains on the edge, which needs to be painted over. We carefully decorate each plate in this way with the chosen color;
• at the end they are covered with topcoat and dried. If desired, the design can be decorated with decorative elements.

Black and red manicure with stones

This type of design is made according to the principle of the Gothic French. It will require almost the same materials and tools, only in this case you need gel polishes in both red and black colors, silver foil, a thin brush, special glue and stones.

Gothic style nails for this design are designed like this:

• as in the previous case, first the nail is given a certain shape, the plate is covered with a base, and then the master makes a red jacket on the nail;
• in the center, grabbing half of the gel coating and the jacket, draw an oval with a thin brush, drawing two curls from it in different directions downwards;
• now we print the foil in the center of the oval in one motion;
• in the place where the curls meet, we attach the stones with glue;
• cover with top coat and dry.
