How to apply Bluesky Shellac gel polish
Gel polish is three-phase, so for its application, in addition to the color coating itself, a special base and top are used. They can be either from the same manufacturer Bluesky Shellac or from third parties. To polymerize the coating, an ultraviolet (polymerization time of 2 minutes for a 36-watt lamp) or LED lamp (polymerization time of 30-60 seconds for each layer) is required. Coating is applied in stages:
- Preparatory. First, you need to file your nails to the same shape and length, then push back the cuticles with an orange stick. It will be best if you perform a classic or European manicure and remove the cuticle 1-2 days before the procedure. Next, a degreaser is applied to the nails. Please note: BlueSky Shellac gel polishes do not require cutting down the nail plate, like many other companies, this reduces the load on the nails while creating a long-term coating without losing its quality and durability.
- Applying the base. The transparent base for gel polish is applied in a thin layer and dried in a lamp for 1-2 minutes. If the base has a dispersion layer, it does not need to be removed.
- Application of color coating. All colored coatings are best applied in two layers, each of which is dried in a lamp for 2 minutes.
- Top coating. The final step is to apply a gel polish topcoat, which adds additional shine and guarantees protection and durability of the coating. After drying the top with a special product and a lint-free cloth, remove the sticky layer, if any.

Removing Bluesky Shellac
To remove Bluesky Shellac gel polishes, any liquid for acrylic, biogel or gel polish containing acetone is suitable. All three will remove, but in the same order they increase in nail hardness. It happens that it is difficult to remove gel polish - this depends on the freshness of the removing liquid: if the liquid is old, then the acetone has been exhausted from it, and it will be more difficult to remove. In general, the process of removing gel polish is absolutely the same as for any other brands; you can read more here. To simplify, you can use the “Lacquer Square” technique.
