French manicure. Types of French. Photo gallery 100 photos.

The most widely known, popular and beloved type of manicure by all fashionistas is, without a doubt, the French manicure or short French manicure. Its popularity is very easy to explain. Firstly, you can very easily do this manicure yourself, without the help of a manicurist. Secondly, this manicure is absolutely universal.

Previously, only the classic version of the French manicure was widely known - coating the tips of the nails with white varnish. But, as you know, fashion and time do not stand still, and over time, various types of French began to appear en masse. Nowadays, types of French manicure offer a wide choice in both colors and additional decor and design of nails. In general, there will be plenty to choose from.

So, what types of French manicure exist today?

1.Classic French

Let's start with our favorite classics. In its original form, French, as we have already said, is coating the tips of the nails with white varnish (precisely white). This manicure looks very neat and gentle. Suitable for any style and color of clothing. Often, this manicure option is chosen as a festive manicure for a wedding or other special occasions. But the classic French jacket is also perfect for everyday looks.

History of appearance

Ladies first learned about French manicure in 1976. This type of nail design has won the hearts of beautiful ladies. The lady's hands with French manicure turned out to be incredibly feminine and delicate. I wanted to look at the fingers with the French coat endlessly, the design would be so beautiful and laconic. You can verify this by looking at the photo of a beautiful French manicure. There are many types of this method of nail design.

So, the idea of creating a French manicure belonged to a talented young man named Jeff Pink. He worked with models and actresses and constantly heard complaints about how inconvenient it was for girls to change the nail design for each outfit so that the manicure would be in harmony with the image.

Suddenly Jeff Pink had an idea. He came up with a universal nail design that suited any style: romantic, sporty, business. His idea was appreciated by everyone involved in the world of female beauty. French quickly conquered the fashion world and gradually migrated to the masses.

3.Colored French

As you may have guessed, a colored French manicure is a type of French manicure in which, instead of the usual white color, you can use any other color of varnish and cover the tip of the nail, for example, with red or black varnish. Often, in this type of manicure, several colors are combined, covering the entire nail with one varnish, and the tip of the nail with another. This manicure looks very original and stylish.

French manicure on short nails

You can make a French manicure on short nails; here you just need to use a subtle method of creating a smile zone. To do this, take a thin brush and apply white paint to the very tip of the nail. Or you can cut the strip in half, which we wrote about above, and use the same technique to create a French jacket.

4.Custom French

A non-standard French manicure is radically different from the classic look of this manicure and from all its varieties. At first glance, it is not even always possible to determine that this is a French jacket. Its unusualness lies in the fact that the tip of the nail is not distinguished by the usual arc or, as it is also called, the “smile line”. With this type of manicure, the tip of the nail is highlighted in other ways. Most often, images of geometric shapes such as squares, triangles, zigzags, etc. are used for these purposes.

With stones and rhinestones

The French version with rhinestones looks luxurious and expensive. Pearl pigment and stones are used for decoration. For a discreet accent, rhinestones are laid out in the shape of a crescent near the cuticle. The pattern can take up the entire nail or only part of it. Solutions made from colored pebbles are well suited; rhinestones are chosen to match the tone of the smile or combined with light varnish. A black jacket with crystals looks interesting and original.

Now it has become very popular to combine several types of manicure at once. So, the French manicure goes well with lunar manicure, negative space (and French manicure itself, in fact, can be classified as negative space), Fen-Ui manicure, etc.

Finally, a photo gallery with various options for everyone’s favorite French manicure for every taste and for any occasion.

French manicure on medium nails

Medium nails are considered the most optimal. They fit well in different shapes: square, stiletto, oval, round and rectangular. The French jacket will suit any of these shapes, where it will look fresh, stylish and relevant. Here it is possible to create classics, colored and multi-colored jackets, as well as jackets with the addition of decor or sparkles.
