7 hottest manicure trends 2019
Natalia's Instagram page is famous not only for naked photos, but also for shots with strange manicures. “The master spent four hours drawing little animals on each of my nails! This is such painstaking and meticulous work! I’m just delighted,” Sturm described the author’s design, inspired by watching the show “The Voice.Children.” But if the owls, pandas and company looked at least neat, then Sturm’s next experiment turned out to be completely out of the ordinary. What did the ex-star herself answer to criticism of the strange “children’s” manicure? “But the cat likes it!”

Manicure stop
Fashion trendsetters firmly say stop to nail design, which is in bad taste. Today it is impossible to wear false nails or extend huge, predatory, sharp, terrible nails. The abundance of rhinestones and smiley faces, lace and bows looks completely tasteless, especially if such decorations are on every nail plate. If desired, it is permissible to leave one rhinestone or an unobtrusive composition on one nail. Too much excess always turns you off. The same can be said about a design with an oversaturation of the color palette. Sloppy manicure, uneven edges of the nail plate, chipped varnish, pearlescent varnish in lilac tones must be said stop.
A manicure with sharp teeth along the edge of the nail plate is quite original, but how can you not love your nails to disfigure them like that? It’s difficult to surprise anyone with such a design, if only yourself. The same can be said about designs with faces or lots of flowers, cats, cars, dogs and your own photo.
Anastasia Volochkova
The prima ballerina is firmly stuck in the past, when mother-of-pearl on the eyelids was at the height of fashion during the day, and a French jacket was considered a mandatory attribute of a well-groomed woman. Anastasia is faithful to the white stripe at the tip of the nail, as well as to the splits, for which she becomes an object of ridicule - Volochkova’s manicure looks even more outdated, coupled with the excessive width of the nail and “curls.”

Horror films and TV series can become your muse for choosing nail illustrations. Dedicate each nail to a famous villain or write the name of your favorite movie in a specific font. Alternatively, you can draw the main symbol of the holiday - a pumpkin, bats with cobwebs, or ghosts. Horror films and TV series can be your muse for choosing nail illustrations. Elena Temnikova
Elena is tossed from side to side: either he will make a minimalist stylish monochrome, or he will fall into an unrestrained design. The most striking example is the red and black hieroglyphs on baby nails. Not only do signs of different sizes look catchy, but the star’s manicure also glows in the dark! Before fans had time to discuss Temnikova’s peculiar choice, she demonstrated new nail art - painted puppies.

Halloween is a good time to remember Bram Stoker’s immortal novel “Dracula,” which can become your inspiration. The effect of bloody smudges is ideal for both a classic vampire costume or a big fan of ghouls, and for a frightening manicure. Ksenia Sobchak
The TV personality regularly gets punished not for having a terrible manicure, but for the lack of one at all. Users have repeatedly noticed Ksenia’s peeling polish or untidy nails, the last case being after her wedding to Konstantin Bogomolov. Sobchak boasted of an impressive engagement ring, but the expensive piece went unnoticed—all the subscribers’ eyes were focused on the star’s unkempt fingers.

Don’t do this: 5 main anti-trends in manicure 2019
Calm, only calm: Borodina did not perform this “beauty” with her own hands. But she advertised zealously! “Let's choose? Maybe we should make tangerines for the New Year?” — the star of “House-2” asked flirtatiously last winter. No, Ksenia and her subscribers, you can’t do it - such a design is only suitable for an exhibition to demonstrate the skills of the master, but not for everyday wear.

Handmade: what is manicure a la russe and how to care for your nails at home
Have you ever thought that the condition of the skin on your hands can tell you a lot about a person? Firstly, it is the hands that first reveal age. Wrinkles, age spots and other signs of aging appear on the hands even earlier than on the face, which we zealously take care of. Secondly, traces of fatigue, lack of sleep or a not very healthy lifestyle on the face can be instantly disguised with the help of makeup. You can’t get hangnails, brittle or simply unkempt nails in order in five minutes. They will immediately tell you that not everything is going smoothly in your life, since you don’t have time for a banal manicure. The conclusion is obvious: you should not forget about your hands. And, fortunately, you can fully care for them at home.
About the beauty of nails
Due to the well-known virus, remote work and lockdowns, many have switched to home manicures. This is a global trend. And even if it doesn’t affect you, it’s still worth keeping a set of good tools at home. Just in case. In addition to sharp scissors and tweezers, a flexible file and a buff (a rectangular block for grinding and polishing the nail) will be useful. Remember: if you simply cut the nail, it may peel off. You need to seal it, in other words, process the edge with a nail file, moving it strictly in one direction so that there is no “fringe” left on the tip. Then the surface of the nail can be polished with a buff - it will become smooth and shiny, and your hands will immediately take on a more well-groomed appearance.

But you shouldn’t trim the cuticle and skin around the nail at home to avoid microtrauma and infection. As a last resort, the cuticle can be softened using a special product and pushed back with a wooden stick. It is better to regularly nourish the skin with oil or cream, then it will not become rough.
National question
Around the question “do we cut the cuticle?” many copies were broken. The fact is that the Russian school of manicure (which grew out of the Soviet one) teaches how to remove all living things around the nail - soak it, file it off and sand it tightly. It’s not for nothing that in the USA and Europe, edged manicure is called Russian. The fashion for it was brought by craftsmen who moved from our region. Indeed, the nails look neat after this treatment. However, the cuticle is important for their health and protection. Without it, the plate risks not receiving enough nutrients, becoming weaker and more brittle. Therefore, the Western school of manicure promotes a more humane approach: you will not see scissors and tweezers in the hands of a master. The side rollers and cuticle will not be damaged. They will be softened and tidied up using nail files and wooden sticks, as well as a special remover based on fruit acids. If you do this manicure regularly and apply balm or oil to your fingertips at home, the cuticle will stop growing and your nails will look well-groomed even longer than after a trimmed manicure.

But by and large, whether to cut the cuticle or not is a purely individual matter. Owners of strong and strong nails can easily afford a trimmed manicure a la russe. But if the nail is thin and tends to split, it is better to try a European one. Or... Japanese. This is not even a manicure in the usual sense, but a multi-stage procedure for improving the health of the nail plate. The process uses a gel with seaweed extract, powder with pearl particles and mineral paste. Tools made only from natural materials - orange wood sticks, leather buffs, ceramic files. No varnish is applied, but even without it, the nails remain shiny for up to two weeks.
And since we’re talking about thin and brittle nails, let’s share a useful life hack. If after a vacation in hot countries you still have sunscreens with mineral filters (zinc oxide and titanium dioxide), do not rush to throw them away, but rub them regularly into your nails to strengthen them.
Lacquer piece
Another eternal subject of debate is the choice of coverage. What is better - long-lasting gel polish or regular one? There is, of course, no correct answer. Focus on the natural characteristics of your nails, your habits and lifestyle. On a dry and even plate, even ordinary varnish applied in a thin layer can last up to ten days. But gel polish, needless to say, will last longer. True, it is problematic to remove it at home without damaging the plate. And the nails under it dry out, losing their healthy shine. As a result, without coating they begin to look not very attractive. And experts advise taking breaks and taking a break from gel polish for at least a couple of weeks. By the way, after regular polish, colored stains may also remain on the nails or a yellowish tint may appear. Any whitening toothpaste will help deal with it. Apply it and rub in thoroughly using a cotton pad or sponge. And then wash it off.
Another advantage of gel polish is that it makes it easier to design your nails. Yes, yes, he is popular again. And here you can have a blast according to the principle of “who knows what.” Especially in honor of the holidays. There are no clear trends or taboos. Neat minimalism, graphic patterns, provocative inscriptions, sparkles, and even extravagant claw nails that bloggers and stars adore are in fashion. All you need to do is find a master who can make your fantasies come true.

Keep on hand
Hand care is not limited to manicure. As was said at the very beginning, the skin of the hands needs special attention. After all, the subcutaneous fat on the hands is thinner than on other parts of the body, and the skin itself is practically devoid of sebaceous glands. And therefore it loses moisture faster. Especially under the influence of antiseptics and antibacterial soap, which we have been forced to become friends with over the past two years. Add here other aggressive external factors - sun rays in summer, wind and frost in winter, household chemicals all year round.
The rescue plan includes several simple points - do household chores with gloves, do not wash your hands with too hot or ice water, always dry them with a towel and moisturize with cream several times a day. Choose products with glycerin, vitamin E, allantoin, panthenol, aloe vera, shea butter, jojoba or other proven restorative ingredients. It’s also useful to give your hands a home spa at least once a week. Apply a polishing scrub or peeling with fruit (AHA) acids to your skin (you can use a facial product). This will stimulate the renewal of the skin of your hands and make its color more even. Then apply a thick layer of cream or mask (again, you can take a face product), put plastic bags and mittens on top. Rest for 15-30 minutes - it will still be difficult to do something. And then rub in the remaining cream or mask using massage movements. In general, a light hand massage is useful to do daily. It will improve blood supply and microcirculation. This is especially important for those whose hands get cold even in summer. No special skills are needed, just distribute the cream with intense circular movements from your fingertips to your wrist. By the way, today salons and clinics offer injection and hardware methods for rejuvenating the skin of the hands. However, if you properly care for them at home, the use of this “heavy artillery” can be delayed.
Nargiz
We didn’t expect a delicate jacket or pastel flowers from the outrageous singer, honestly! Zakirova prefers manicure exclusively in black tones - sometimes the abstract, dark design seems to continue the numerous tattoos on the woman’s body. But an obscene phrase in English, and even so carelessly executed, is too much. Apparently, Fadeev’s ex-ward was boiling over.

The stars are wrong too
Star women have the right to make mistakes. It is not easy to maintain your image every day or look for new solutions to improve it. The terrible manicure of the stars was demonstrated by Lily Allen, showing the world tweed nails under a tweed jacket, and Georgia May Jagger with sushi nails. Lily's manicure with the famous Chanel brand is simply shocking with its vulgarity and makes you love this brand less. Katy Perry is ready for Christmas long before the event, as evidenced by her Santa pedicure. Rihanna matches her nails to the color of her pink hair. But the most iconic terrible manicure with multi-colored coffins was shown to the world by Kelly Osbourne. It's not easy for stars to choose a design. Apparently, in search of uniqueness, it’s worth looking at the idea through the eyes of fans and smiling once again at your reflection.
Bubble coating
In the salon, your nails are always perfectly straight. Why do bubbles form at home? Most likely, the reason is simple - you shake the polish before applying. The goal is good - to get rid of sediment and evenly stir the coating. But in reality, you only contribute to the formation of excess bubbles, which will then be transferred to your nails.

How to draw
The first and most important thing is that the brush should have a thin tip.
As for the length of the pile, it doesn’t matter what you like. Typically, it is more convenient to outline the future design with a long-bristled brush, and to draw the smallest details of the pattern, it is more practical to use a short-bristled brush. Also, many craftsmen use a long-haired liner brush for such patterns, which is ideal for creating geometric patterns.
You can paint with either gel polish or gel paint - in this case there is not much difference. If you need the thinnest possible lines, then it is better to paint with gel polish with good pigmentation. And if you draw with fairly voluminous lines, it is better to use art paste or gel paint without a sticky layer.
