How to apply
Preparing for a manicure with Vinylux is no different from that for a regular product. The nails should first be given the desired shape with tweezers and a file, the cuticle should be pushed back or trimmed, and the nail plate should be degreased.
Next, the varnish is applied in two layers, waiting for each of them to dry, and then be sure to use a top coat. It is this that is responsible for the ability of Vinylux to harden without a UV lamp and prevents color changes over time. The top coat gives the manicure a glossy shine.
Vinylux varnishes can also be removed using conventional acetone-containing compounds, although manufacturers, of course, recommend a proprietary composition, the same one used for Shellac. Apply a moistened cotton pad to the nail for a few seconds, allowing the liquid to dissolve the product, then remove most of it in one motion, then carefully remove the remaining residue with the same disc or a cotton swab.
Applying a base coat under the varnish and then applying a topcoat other than the special Weekly Top Coat fixer from CND is not only not recommended, but also impossible. Otherwise, the varnish simply will not lie flat on the nail, and its rapid hardening and high durability will not be ensured.

What to do if the varnish has thickened
The excessively thick consistency of the varnish causes some inconvenience - it complicates its even application and slows down drying. To prevent such problems, bottles should be screwed tightly after each use and should not be left in areas of direct sunlight.
This is especially true for the topcoat, which is most susceptible to ultraviolet radiation. But if the products have already noticeably thickened, they are diluted with acetone-containing compounds. After this, it is enough to shake the varnishes thoroughly, and the small balls placed inside will mix everything thoroughly.
Weekly Top Coat does not contain such balls, so you should stir it yourself with a brush, toothpick, cotton swab or something similar, trying to prevent air bubbles from appearing there, which will then interfere with the smooth application of the coating.

If you use regular varnish, its drying speed varies within 15-30 minutes. In this case, it is advisable to use nail lamps that emit ultraviolet or LED rays. A liquid drying agent is also useful: it must be sprayed after the manicure has already been done.
Vinylux is a completely different matter. This is a tandem consisting of two products: the first is the varnish itself, the second is a special fixative.

How many days does Vinylux last: photo experiment
CND manufacturers and a huge number of users are pouring into the ears of innocent people the myth of how Vinylux varnish lasts for seven whole days. How are things really going? I personally decided to look into this issue.
Vinylux cannot be applied in one layer, only the second will hide all the unevenness of the nails. But don’t flatter yourself too much, if your nails are too uneven, you won’t be able to hide the imperfections with a manicure.
First day. After applying the top of the same name, without which this whole week-long scam is impossible, the manicure becomes glossy.
Second day. Of course, I liked Vinylux more than regular varnish. In addition, it is an excellent alternative to shellac because it does not need to be dried in a lamp.
Day three. The first chip appeared on one nail.
On the fourth day, the chipped area had grown a little. In the case of regular varnish, it would be possible to simply adjust it. But we are dealing with vinyl lux, and on the brand’s website it is written in black and white: “You cannot apply colored varnish with a top coat over an already completed manicure.” The problem is that it will be difficult to remove later.
On the fifth day, the shine became less obvious, and the overall picture was complemented by bald ends.
On the sixth day, I couldn’t stand it and took this miracle off my nails. By the way, before getting a manicure with the Vinilux star pair, I did shellac in black, the condition of my nails can now be seen in the photo.
