How to grow nails in a day?
As you know, nails grow by 2 mm in a week. Therefore, it is simply impossible to grow them in such a short period of time; another question is: “What can be done in this case?” Let's try to find the answer.
The first way is to get your nails in order, no matter how long they are. Make a bath, remove the cuticle, shape it with a file, and so that short nails are not conspicuous, apply flesh-colored varnish.
If this method does not suit you, let's move on to the second.
Buy false nails. Apply glue to each of them and spread it over the entire surface. Next, press the purchased nails tightly against yours. Remove excess glue and apply varnish.
Tips for strengthening nails
- A light massage of the fingers gives a good effect for accelerating nail growth. Everything is very simple here - you stimulate skin and muscle tissue, which increases blood circulation. And this, in turn, helps to improve metabolic processes. Carrying out such a simple session every day has a good effect on the growth and health of nails.
- The keratization process is well stimulated with paraffin therapy. To do this, you need to apply melted candle wax or specially purchased cosmetic paraffin to the surface of the plates and cuticle. This procedure has a similar effect to massage - blood supply increases, cells are saturated with oxygen.
- Nail baths are a kind of cure for all ills: they are used to restore, strengthen and treat nails. The fact is that water, along with fats, is one of the main compounds necessary for keratinization and growth of nail plates. No wonder people believe that nails grow in water. This is true: to improve their condition, it is enough to immerse your fingers in warm water for 10-15 minutes daily. It will be even more useful to add sea salt, herbal infusions and essential oils. After performing such a spa for your fingers, be sure to treat them with a nourishing cream.
- A very effective and somewhat exotic way is to use liquid vitamin mixtures. The most popular among them (for growing nails) remains vitamin E. The method of application is extremely simple - the product must be smeared into the surface. If you cannot find the drug at your nearest pharmacy, you can use standard medical iodine for this purpose, applied in a thin layer. You shouldn’t be afraid of yellowness - if you paint your nails with iodine before going to bed, then by the morning everything will go away on its own.
- A homemade nail mask will help strengthen and accelerate growth. To do this, you need to mix 1 tsp. cream of baby and red pepper with 40-50 drops of water. The mixture is heated in a water bath and applied to the fingers.
What do nails tell us?
Considering that pathologies of internal organs “change” the appearance of the projection zones, the state of the outer integument can be used to judge the problems present in the body.
Let's consider what health disorders are signaled by changes in nail color:
- Gradient coloring of the plate (from light to dark). Pathology, in 70% of cases, indicates renal failure. If you notice such a symptom, immediately contact a nephrologist.
- Bluish-violet hue. An indicator of heart failure, chronic lung pathologies, and in infants – congenital heart diseases. If only the base of the nail turns blue, then diabetes can be assumed.
- Yellow color (in combination with thickening and crumbling of the plate). Such problems “speak” of fungal infestation. Sometimes the yellow color of the plate is a harbinger of gallbladder dysfunction, cerebral circulation disorders, diseases of the thyroid and pancreas. Along with this, the color of the coat can change with smoking and alcohol abuse.
- White nails. This defect indicates dysfunction of the adrenal cortex.
- Black shade of nails. A clear sign of brachial artery thrombosis or diabetic gangrene.
- Yellow spots on the plate. An indicator of dysfunction of the respiratory system or fat metabolism in tissues.
- Bright red color. Scarlet plates are a characteristic symptom of chronic erythremia (leukemia).
- Gray shade of the plate. Nails are colored this color due to malaria infection.
What does a change in the structure of the nail indicate:
- Waves, protrusions, embossing. Ribbing of the plate occurs due to hormonal imbalances, thyroid dysfunction, disorders of the digestive tract, and chronic stress. In addition, in 10% of cases, nail deformation indicates psoriasis.
- Convexities and transverse depressions. An indicator of the presence of a bacterial infection in the body.
- Interspersed with holes and longitudinal grooves. Such deformities occur due to diseases of the small intestine or spleen.
- The grooves are without inclusions. An indicator of intestinal tract pathology.
- Whitish dots. Blotches present on the entire surface of the nail indicate excessive calcium deposition in the lungs or kidneys.
- Fragility, delamination, roughness. The main cause of such problems is an acute deficiency of vitamins (A, B, C, E) and minerals (calcium, zinc, iron, iodine). If replenishing a nutrient deficiency does not bring the desired effect, you need to check the ovaries.
- Lack of holes at the base of the plates. Pathological change in the nail, indicating a pre-anemic state (due to prolonged lack of vitamin C). In addition, the disappearance of the “crescent” may indicate a pathology of the thyroid gland or cardiac neurosis.
- The nail fold is edematous. Swollen, red skin around the nails signals systemic autoimmune diseases, in particular lupus erythematosus.
- Concavity of the central part of the plate against the background of its excessive flatness. Signs of severe vitamin deficiency or anemia.
- Thickening with deformation and yellowing. A combined sign of plate fungus (mycosis).
Interestingly, nails can also “inform” about a person’s recovery. When the body recovers, the plates acquire a healthy pale pink color, and their structure becomes smooth and even.
Proper care
Plays a vital role in creating the perfect manicure. In order to grow healthy, strong and long nails, a set of procedures is required. Let's start with the basics.
- Beautiful shape. Endless filing and trimming of cuticles does not improve the health of your nails. This must be done wisely. Start filing from the outer edges, gradually moving to the center. Moving the nail file back and forth weakens the structure of the nail. Choose the right shape for your nails. It is noteworthy that rounded nail plates grow faster.
- Take care of your cuticles. To soften it, soak your hands in warm water for 5 minutes. Do not trim or bite it with tweezers, as this can injure the nail bed and cause infection. Push back the cuticle with an orange stick. Rinse your hands thoroughly and remove debris. Perform a similar procedure at least 4 times a week. Finally, treat the cuticle with hyaluronic acid or any cosmetic oil or moisturizer that contains it. Such manipulations will prevent the appearance of burrs.
- Strengthening procedures. After giving your nails the ideal shape and proper care of the cuticles, you should start strengthening your nails. Serums show the fastest results, but also cost accordingly. Strengthening nail creams are ideal for everyday use. Apply in the morning or evening before bed. Affordable and easy to use, they help protect your nails from chipping.
When Accelerated Growth Is Needed
There are times when accelerating growth is not a whim, but a necessity. A deformed nail is not just a cosmetic flaw. Most often, there is a risk to the health and safety of the plate. The following reasons require accelerating growth:
- fungal diseases cause changes in the color and structure of the nail. This is an infection that will be transmitted to neighboring fingers, so it is necessary to begin treatment in time and stimulate the growth of the plate in order to get rid of the damaged area as quickly as possible and restore its appearance,
- finger injuries often lead to problems with the plate. As a result of mechanical impact, hematomas occur, and as a result, the plate disappears completely due to the cessation of the supply of nutrients,
- a break on the nail bed, a breakdown is a painful injury, the result of which is exposure of the dermis and an impact on the nerve endings. High risk of infection
- surgical removal. The plate is completely removed, so it needs to be grown back as soon as possible.
Stimulation is necessary because the nail protects the body and dermis from infections and dirt; if you lose the plate or part of it, there is a risk of infection, which can lead to serious consequences and long-term treatment.
